We are looking for some dedicated and customer focused individuals to join our team at YHA Auckland. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. Weekend work will be required.
The focus of this role is providing over-night cover for the hostel (11:00pm - 7:00am) ensuring the security, safety and comfort of our guests. You will ensure the hostel is kept immaculately clean and security protocols are maintained, along with acting as the head fire warden initiating any emergency procedures as required. We require that you have good communication skills and experience with computer applications. Duties also include attending reception & cash handling, administration, answering guest enquiries, as well as selling domestic travel and activities and promoting YHA to our guests as a gateway to a great kiwi experience.
This position will suit you if you are a friendly, mature and responsible person, comfortable working overnight in a sole charge basis. Examples of your ability to take a "hands-on" approach to a variety of tasks and to deal with situations in an appropriate manner will help you be successful in this role.
You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months.
